Fox Incendo (Incendomedia) is a production and distribution company for television programming worldwide.
In 2007 their previous lease expired, which provided them an opportunity to move their facilities to consolidate, streamline and to update their environment.
File niches and a storage room alleviated clutter; glass doors were used for the offices to allow light into the space; the boardroom has a total glass front to allow the south light in and to permeate the space.
New workstations and office furniture were specified to reflect their new look.
Google Waterloo

Google Waterloo was moving locations and their new space had to reflect their young innovative style.
Scope of this project for LDB design Inc. was furniture and it had to be hip, comfy, and highly functional for their engineering staff.
Many different products were used to achieve the end result.

Artez Interactive helps charities create, manage and execute online fundraising campaigns.
Their staff is computer savvy and young and they wished their space to have an open feel and look. Their existing furniture was utilized and redeployed and some free standing new pieces were added.
The space itself was allowed to shine as we kept the beams, flooring and brickwork in their natural state and added full height walls only where necessary. The office walls were only 8’-0” in height adding to the open airy feel of the space. Artez Interactive wanted to sublet a portion of their space. Several scenarios were planned out for the sublet tenant space to the south, but in the end Artez just built the demising wall and allowed the sublet tenant to adjust the suite as they saw fit.
CSA (Canadian Standards Association)

Canadian Standards Association embarked on a three year multi-phased renovation project encompassing 100,000 sq.ft.
The first phase constituted a renovation to their general office area. The new colour scheme is upbeat, classic and fresh.
All new furniture was procured, from DIRTT wall systems and Tayco furniture.
As CSA is a non-profit organization, funds are limited, so the client and design team worked very closely together to achieve a positive end result.

The second phase created a new cafeteria for the staff. The new cafeteria bridged the gap between two existing buildings…literally. An atrium design was utilized to join them resulting in a bright open space, which the client refers to as the bistro area (see page 4 of this document).
The previous use of this space was a raw storage area, no ceilings, minimal lighting. The renovation maintained the open ceiling, but was painted out and suspended lighting was added to create neighbourhoods/zones within the area. The cafeteria sits approx.150 staff which is ideal, as this area acts as the town hall, for large meetings and get-togethers.

Phase III encompasses approximately 35,000 sq.ft. of general office space, new foyer and a meeting area complex.
The purpose of this phase was to create a new grand reception area and meeting complex that linked the previously constructed phases to the older parts of the building. This was achieved by creating an internal promenade that goes from the new reception area to the cafeteria.
This allows the staff to transverse this promenade all day, and allows them enjoy the space and natural light created by the skylights.

Caledon Art Studio is a dynamic historic old church converted into an Art Space. The client had a vision of the company and it was LDB design’s take on their logo to refresh the space into a reflection of their 3 dimensional brand.
The space needed to be turned into a vibrant teaching studio, with a revamped work area, studio area, kitchen and washroom update.
The client opened their doors in May and has been extremely busy ever since. A dynamic functional space allows clients to exceed in their business as it is an extension of their workflow.
